Who We Are
Our mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence.
Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear provides emergency shelter to families facing a homeless crisis and transitional housing to families that are victims of domestic violence. We aim to ensure every child has a safe place to call home.
Family Promise provides transitional housing in the tri-county area for families who are victims of domestic violence with our Families Forward program. Our emergency shelter program unites community partners in a collaborative effort to assist homeless families. On a rotating basis, host congregations, businesses, and individuals provide meals for families. Additionally, they provide needed resources to support the program. Our office is located in the Harrelson Center, 20 N. 4th Street, Suite 440, where staff works intensively with the families as they seek jobs, housing, health care, and other resources necessary for sustainable financial independence.
